Lives in your Mac's notch

Point at your screen.
Say it. It's filed.

Hold ⌥Space, circle anything, and speak. Pinvari captures the screenshot, your voice, the pointer path and the exact UI element — then transcribes, classifies and routes it to your tracker, your team, or your AI agent.

The Pinvari island expanded at the notch, showing capture cards with circled regions
Everything it does

A complete capture pipeline,
not another screenshot tool

Every capture carries five layers of context. No typing, no tab-switching, no “as you can see in the attached screenshot”.

Push-to-talk capture

Hold ⌥Space, circle, speak, release. The whole gesture takes two seconds and never interrupts what you were doing.

🎯

Knows the exact elementMOAT

Not just pixels — Pinvari resolves the UI element you circled through the macOS accessibility tree. “This section” becomes a named component.

🧭

DOM-level precision

The browser extension upgrades web captures to the exact CSS selector, data-testid, console errors and app route.

🎙️

On-device transcription

Your voice is transcribed by Apple's on-device speech engine. Free, fast, and audio never leaves your Mac.

🏷️

Auto-classification

Every capture is classified — bug, feature, UX, question — with severity and product area. Low-confidence guesses ask, never assume.

🏝️

Notch-native island

Pinvari lives in the notch. Hover to expand a tray of capture cards showing the thing you circled — your gesture drawn on every thumbnail.

🔗

Routes itself

Captures deliver to your tracker or webhook with automatic retry, and every card shows exactly where it went. Honest states — a failed delivery never claims “sent”.

📚

Sessions & docs

Group a testing run into a session, then export the whole thing as a shareable document or PDF — every issue with its evidence.

🔒

Private by architecture

Screenshot, audio, transcription, element resolution — all local. Focus-privacy mode blurs everything outside the region you circled.

📡

Works offline

No network? Captures queue on disk and drain automatically when you're back. Nothing is ever lost.

🤖

Agents can ask youFIRST

Mid-task, Claude can request a capture — the island pulses “POINT AT IT”, you circle the thing, and it lands straight in the agent's context.

💻

All Macs, one app

Universal binary for Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 13 through 26. Auto-starting background service that survives crashes and reboots.

How it works

Two seconds from “this is broken”
to a filed, classified issue

1

Hold ⌥Space and circle

An ink trail follows your pointer. Circle a component, underline a row, or draw an arrow at the thing that's wrong — straight strokes get an arrowhead automatically.

2

Say what's wrong

“This section overlaps the sidebar on scroll.” Your voice records only while the key is held. Release the key — mic off, always.

3

Pinvari does the rest

Screenshot, transcript, resolved element, URL and app context are fused into one capture, classified, and routed — to your tracker, your session doc, or your AI agent.

For AI agents

Give Claude eyes on your screen

One command connects Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex or any MCP agent to your captures — including the screenshots.

$ claude mcp add pinvari -- node ~/pinvari/mcp/server.mjs
Added stdio MCP server pinvari ✔ Connected
> use pinvari to see what I mean
● pinvari_request_capture — waiting for you to point…
● The user captured: “this button overlaps the nav”
  [data-testid=checkout-cta] · button · screenshot attached

Agents read your captures

List, search, and fetch any capture with its cropped screenshot — the exact region you circled.

Agents request captures

When words are ambiguous, the agent asks — your notch pulses “POINT AT IT” — and your next capture lands in its context.

Selectors, not adjectives

With the browser extension, agents receive the exact CSS selector and console errors. Fixes land in one round-trip, not five.

FAQ

Good questions

Does my screen or voice get uploaded anywhere?

No. Screenshots, audio, transcription and element resolution all happen on your Mac. Captures only leave your machine when you route them somewhere — a webhook, a shared doc, or an agent you connected.

What Macs does it run on?

macOS 13 Ventura and later, Apple Silicon and Intel — one universal app. The island adapts to notch and non-notch displays.

How is this different from a screenshot tool?

A screenshot shows what your screen looked like. A Pinvari capture knows what you meant: the exact element you circled, what you said about it, where it lives, and where the issue should be filed. It's the difference between evidence and a report.

Which AI agents work with it?

Claude Code and Claude Desktop out of the box via MCP; Codex and any other MCP client connect to the same local server. Agents can read captures — screenshots included — and request new ones mid-task.

What does the browser extension add?

For web apps, captures upgrade from “accessibility element” to the exact CSS selector, data-testid, recent console errors, and the route you were on. Load it once from the user panel; it talks only to your local Pinvari service.

How do I install it?

Download the DMG, drag Pinvari to Applications, and grant three permissions (accessibility, microphone, screen recording) in a guided one-minute onboarding. Your license key is in the user panel.
