PinVari Lite (Mac App Store)

PinVari Lite is the Mac App Store edition of PinVari. It is a $24.99 one-time capture app: point, speak, screenshot, dashboard, copy-for-agent.
The store listing is titled PinVari. We call it Lite here so you do not mix it with PinVari Pro, which is a different product from pinvari.com.
Get it on the Mac App Store. Apple installs it and updates it.
The binary is fully sandboxed.
Lite does not name the button. It never resolves AXButton · Publish.
If you need the named control, that is PinVari Pro. This page is the App Store product as of 30 Aug 2026.
What is PinVari Lite on the Mac App Store?
PinVari Lite is a capture plus paste tool. You mark a control, you say expected versus actual, you keep a screenshot and your words.
Then you copy that note for an agent or a ticket. That is the job.
The listing title is PinVari, not “PinVari Lite”. Apple’s storefront does not use our internal name.
We say Lite on this site so the sandboxed App Store binary is not confused with the desktop Pro build.
The live price is $24.99 one-time. There is no subscription.
Ignore older $29.99 figures if you still see them in leftover listing body copy. The header price is $24.99.
macOS 14 or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel, with on-device speech-to-text.
There is no account and no API key. Nothing leaves the Mac unless you paste the note yourself.
PinVari Lite is point, speak, screenshot, dashboard, and copy-for-agent. Buy it for a pasteable note, not a named control.
The sandbox is the wall, not a slogan. Apple’s App Store rules are why this edition exists as a separate product.
A global Accessibility hit-test of other apps is not something a sandboxed store binary can ship. Lite does not pretend otherwise.
That is why we keep two products: Lite is the store path, Pro is the desktop path.
They are separate purchases. A Lite receipt does not become a Pro licence.
Read PinVari Pro vs PinVari Lite if you are still picking a job, not a storefront.
Lite is the right buy when you want Apple as the installer and a note you can paste. It is the wrong buy when the agent must search for a named button.
How does the point, speak, screenshot loop work?
The loop is the product. There is no hidden second loop behind a settings toggle.
You point at the UI that is wrong. You speak what you expected and what you got.
Lite takes a screenshot of that mark. On-device speech-to-text turns your sentence into text on the Mac.
Those two pieces land in a dashboard. From there you copy the note for an agent.
copy-for-agent is the hand-off. Clipboard in, chat or ticket out.
You can paste into Claude, Cursor, a GitHub issue, or a Slack thread. Lite does not need a local MCP listener to be useful.
The note is a screenshot plus your words. That is enough for a human teammate.
It is also enough when you want a coding agent to see the miss. Seeing is not naming.
What spatial context is starts with pixels, pointing, and speech. Lite gives you the first three as a paste.
The fourth channel, the named accessibility element, is not in this binary. Lite stops at the note.
Speak expected versus actual in one breath. “This save control stays disabled after I fill the form” is a better paste than “broken.”
The dashboard is where captures sit. You do not have to paste the same screenshot twice if you kept the note.
Copy when you are ready, delete when you are done. There is no cloud library to log into.
Apple signs the install, and procurement can buy with an App Store invoice. Those are Lite strengths and Lite limits.
A sandboxed capture app can take a picture of a control. It cannot ask macOS for that control’s role and label across other apps.
Keep that split in mind when the listing screenshot looks similar to Pro marketing. Similar ink, different payload.
What does PinVari Lite refuse to do?
Three things are out: named AX element, workflow recording, and full window AX context.
Lite has none of them. There is no hidden Accessibility switch.
no named AX element means the agent does not receive AXButton · Publish. Role, label, and frame are Pro-only.
Lite does not hit-test the macOS Accessibility API for the control under your ink. The crop is the crop.
Do not look for a “resolve element” checkbox. It is not in Settings, and it will not appear in an App Store update of this edition.
Workflow recording is also out. Lite does not save a named timeline of the buttons and fields you used.
You can still describe the steps in your spoken sentence. That is a paragraph, not a recorder.
Full window AX context is out too. Pro can send up to 40,000 characters of window text, including text scrolled out of view.
Lite does not send that stack. The note is the screenshot and the sentence.
Do not buy PinVari Lite as a trial of named AX, workflow recording, or the 40k window dump. Those are PinVari Pro, and this binary cannot grow them inside Apple’s sandbox.
That refusal is the product boundary. It is not a temporary gap on a roadmap slide.
If your agent already edits the wrong control from a PNG, Lite will not fix that class of miss. A clearer crop still leaves the agent guessing nearby pixels.
A human reading the note will usually get it. An agent searching the DOM or the view tree needs a name.
Lite is honest about that. The paste is for eyes and for chat; the name is a different SKU.

Who should buy the App Store edition?
Buy PinVari Lite if you want a capture plus paste Mac app that Apple installs. You want a screenshot, a spoken sentence, a dashboard, and one copy into chat.
That is enough when a person will read the note: QA filing a ticket, a PM marking a miss, a designer showing which control drifted.
It is also enough when you already talk to Claude or Cursor in a chat box and you are fine pasting a picture. You do not run a local MCP client, or you do not want one.
Buy Lite when procurement wants an App Store invoice. Some teams cannot download a Developer ID app from a website.
Buy Lite when you want the sandbox in writing. The store binary cannot reach into other apps the way a desktop Accessibility client can, and that is the point of the store path.
Do not buy Lite as a cheaper PinVari Pro. They are different products with different jobs.
A Pro licence does not become the Mac App Store copy. An App Store purchase does not become Pro.
Lite matches the job when the failure today is “I cannot get a decent screenshot plus a sentence into the ticket.” Pro matches the job when the failure today is “the agent edited a nearby control.”
If you are still unsure, ask what breaks this week. Slow screenshots and messy pastes mean Lite already matches.
Wrong control from a PNG means you want Pro. The comparison lives on PinVari Pro vs PinVari Lite.
PinVari Pro is 39 dollars at PinVari pricing for the first 500, then $99. That is the other product, sold from pinvari.com, not from the App Store.
Both are one-time, with on-device transcription, on macOS 14 or newer.
Those shared constraints do not make them the same app. One pastes, one names.
How do I hand a capture to an agent from Lite?
Open PinVari Lite, point at the control, and speak.
Check the dashboard. Copy the note.
Paste it into the agent chat you already use. That is the Lite hand-off.
There is no claude mcp add step for this edition. There is no listener on 127.0.0.1:3402.
There is no pinvari-mcp binary to wire. Those belong to PinVari Pro.
Lite’s strength is that the paste works anywhere a screenshot works: Cursor chat, Claude, a Linear issue, Mail.
You are not blocked if MCP is down, or if PinVari is in the background and a port is free.
You are blocked if you expected the paste to include AXButton · Publish. It will not.
The agent sees pixels and your sentence. It does not see a resolved accessibility path.
That is still useful if you tell it which window, which page, and what you expected.
The more specific the spoken line, the less the model has to invent. Lite rewards clear speech the same way a good bug report does.
Do not circle three controls and hope Lite will split them into named steps. There is no workflow recorder here.
Circle the one thing that is wrong, say the one thing that should happen, and paste once.
If you later decide the agent must hit a named control, buy the other product. Lite will not grow that feature.
